This E6 film had been processed, by accident, in C41 chemicals!

The negative had no orange mask, so I sandwiched it with the leader from another film before scanning. This made sure that the scanner saw the tones it expected from the colour negative film.

I then removed a strong green colour cast - I had to remove most of the green in the image.

The Contrast was far too great. I separated the highlights into a separate layer to work on. There was more detail than I expected remaining in the hightlights.

Finally, to get the effect of an old photograph where the colours might have been distorted by time, I partially desaturated the image and then added some sepia (equal amounts of red and yellow) using the Photoshop variations tool.
